Photoshoot behind the scenes

Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of an artist’s photoshoot? I have too! I’ve had professional photos taken, but it wasn’t until I met the fabulous Liz Picasso, that I had a full photoshoot in my home. It was fun, (and a bit tiring), and the results are amazing! Here are a few photos from a memorable day!

These photos are from the main floor of my house. The second one at the mantle, is the painting that won the People’s Choice award. After lots of shooting, I needed a small coffee break at my yellow chair, to renew my energy. Can you tell that yellow and gold are my favorite colours? (and magenta!)

Next we went upstairs to my art studio, to shoot some images of me painting. This was more difficult for me, because when I’m painting, I get into my own head and I’m not thinking about my surroundings. Having a photographer follow me was a whole different vibe! But Liz is so professional that it made everything easy and fun.

At the end of the photoshoot, the lovely Liz decided to buy one of my big paintings. We are now connected forever through photos and art!

Here is that the lovely Liz wrote to me afterwards, with a photo of the painting in her home:

“As I began the arduous process of redecorating my home, I found myself deep diving into the rabbit hole of Pinterest, searching for inspiration and a style that resonated with me and with who I am.

While deep into this exploration one morning, an Instagram post by Lynda Goldman appeared, showcasing a stunning 40 x 40 painting, "Midnight Blooms." Instantly, I was captivated. The large, colorful bursts of energy spoke to me on every level. I knew, without a doubt, that "Midnight Blooms" needed to be in my home and was to become the focal point of my newly envisioned style.

Upon reaching out to Lynda, a bond was forged – not only with her artwork but also with the artist herself. There's a meaningful connection that takes place when we have the honor and opportunity of meeting the artist behind the canvas.  Especially while seeing the artist in their own creative space.

Lynda's encouragement reinforced my bold decision to embrace deep colors in my decor.

Thank you, Lynda, for sharing your talent and passion.”

"Midnight Blooms" not only affirmed my choice of paint color but also gave me the courage to embrace deep dark colors in my decor scheme. I knew that "Midnight Blooms" was going to be the splash of vibrancy and warmth that would tie together all of my paint choices and new style.” -Liz Picasso
